FULL DAY - INTRODUCTION to SLIPCASTING
Join us for a full day masterclass exploring the creative process of slip casting.
During this workshop you will have the opportunity to work with porcelain casting slip, learn how to prepare the slip, work with a selection of plaster moulds and create your own coloured porcelain slip. You will also learn about refining your cast, functional pieces and how to apply surface decoration.
The day finishes with the removal of the cast pieces from the moulds, we will all have the opportunity to see everyone’s unique creations. It’s exciting!
Around mid day we will break for a beautiful lunch, catered by our neighbours Birch Cafe.
All materials, firing costs, lunch and refreshments are included in the workshop price.
